As our community on social media continues to grow and people are spending more time reading, I’ve been getting more and more questions like the ones above from readers new to my books about the cozy mystery genre. Whenever I get a lot of questions & comments on posts, emails, etc. regarding a particular topic, especially one related to cozy mysteries, I find that video is a great way to connect with people and provide some answers. So, this week on My Favorite Reads, I thought I’d offer up a primer on the cozy mystery genre. What are the characteristics of cozy mysteries, where did they come from, and why they differ from other mystery/thriller books and genres.
