Hey There, Reader!

I write books featuring small towns, wonderful settings, delicious foods & drinks, lovable characters, and sometimes, even murder. Explore my series and standalone novels below.

Here’s what people are saying about the books and series…

"CHILLED TO THE CONE is another fantastic book in Ellie Alexander's Bakeshop Mystery series! This is the 12th book in the series with no ending in sight, thankfully. Long-time readers of the series will be happy to catch up at Torte with their favorite characters, test out the recipes in the back of the book, and be excited for where the story’s leading Juliet."

Here’s what people are saying about the books and series…

"Not since Diane Mott Davidson’s novels have the details of mixing butter, chocolate, and sugar been so gloriously and mouthwateringly depicted. There is true joy in Jules’s love for baking, and it is in her bakery where she finds the calm presence of mind to put together the clues and solve the crime. Lance is at his most likable here, made vulnerable by his predatory, money-obsessed relatives. Wedding scenes are always fun to observe, and never more so than here when the entire town becomes an accomplice in the secretive event. Seeing Jules mature is a true pleasure, especially when she begins to feel at home in Ashland’s unique Shakespearean community. Along with a completely unexpected conclusion, the author delivers humor, outstanding dialogue, and an abundance of food porn."

Here’s what people are saying about the books and series…

"I love both of Ellie Alexander’s series, but am particularly fond of the characters in this Bakeshop series. Readers get to return to Ashland, Ore., where Juliet Capshaw, pastry chef and owner of Torte, finds herself busy with the summer tourist season and supporting her barista, Andy, in the West Coast Barista Cup, which just happens to be taking place in Ashland. It’s a big deal to be invited to compete, and Andy has been upping his game, practicing new coffee drinks to show the judges. When the head judge disses Andy’s first offering and is then found dead later in the day, with one of Andy’s lattes in hand, Andy becomes numero uno on the suspect list. Jules is not going to lose her barista to jail, so she and her buddy Lance, who heads up the local Shakespeare venue, team up to figure out who the real killer is. In addition to the mystery, we also get caught up on the lives of Jules and her husband, Carlos, as well as her mother and new stepfather."
