½ cup butter 1 8 oz. package cream cheese 1 cup sugar (3/4 cups for dough ¼ cup for sprinkling on cookies) 1 egg 1 tsp salt 1 tsp peppermint extract 1 ¾ cup flour Peppermint kisses
Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine butter, cream cheese, and ¾ cup of sugar in mixer and cream together. Add egg, salt, and peppermint extract. Slowly incorporate the flour. Form dough into 2 inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking tray. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Use a glass to flatten cookies. Bake at 350° F for 10-12 minutes. Unwrap peppermint kisses and press one into the center of each cookie. Chill cookies in the fridge for 30 minutes to prevent peppermint kisses from fully melting.
