Ok, super sleuths — it’s time to vote on the chosen directions our collaborative cozy mystery, A Brunch with Death, is going to take next. There were some fantastic suggestions this week, so it was very difficult to narrow it down to just 5 for each question. 😍

Question #1: Is the deed real or fake & why?
a. The deed belonged to Peter’s family—the original owner’s of the Merry Windsor. Richard has been leasing the property from them for decades.
b. Toni stole the original deed and gave it to Peter, who was a master forger. He recreated the deed to try and steal the Merry Windsor from Richard.
c. The name on the deed is Richard Lord’s actual name. He gave himself Richard Lord as a nom de plume to sound more regal.
d. The deed belonged to Hank’s mother, who Peter killed. Hank and Peter were best friends growing up, but Peter swindled the property from Hank’s mother.
e. The deed is fake, but would have become real had the killer succeeded in killing their intended victim—Richard Lord.
Question #2: What is the skit the Professor wants Lance & Jules to perform?
a. Jules and Lance re-enact finding the deed.
b. The skit allows the suspects to overhear the Professor wondering where the box could be, when Lance let’s it “slip” he knows.
c. Jules and Lance pretend to be rehearsing a play. The script is actually written by the Professor to trap the killer.
d. Jules and Lance re-enact Peter’s murder with pieces from Taming of the Shrew.
e. Jules and Lance stage a fight. Lance storms off to gain Toni’s confidence.
